Questions you ask us the most

FAQ: FAQ

How many dogs are walked at one time?

We walk 4 dogs per person, for a total of 8 dogs maximum.

How is picking up and dropping off dogs arranged?

Location dependent, we will pick up and drop off your dog on foot or by car. Due to travel time and picking up the rest of the Walkie Doodle Doo pack, please allow up to 30mins before and after the allotted time. Don’t worry, your furry friend will always receive its full walk regardless of travel times!

Do I need to be home when you collect my dog?

No, Clients can provide us with a set of keys to access the property or leave them in a safe place. They will be securely held by us with no information on them with your personal details or address. Should your keys be lost or stolen, you will be informed immediately. We both hold Disclosure Scotland certificated which can be shown at our meet & greet session.

Do you walk off lead?

This depends on your dog. However, as standard, we let our dogs off lead in enclosed doggy parks, open fields or on woodland walks. This gives your furry friends much more exercise and enrichment – all those zoomies and lots of sniffing makes for very happy and satisfied pooches! We will keep your dog on a long lead for our first few walks to test recall and ensure it responds to our commands. Once we are firm fur friends, we are confident to let them off lead.

My Dog is nervous/aggressive/reactive with other dogs – what service do you provide?

We understand that some dogs need a little more TLC and can take them on solo walks, on lead. You will need to provide a fitted muzzle, history of past incidents and any triggers.

What Areas do you cover?

We only cover the Aberdeen City area.

What happens if my dog is injured?

We are both certified canine first aiders and will contact you immediately if there has been an incident. From our meet & greet, we will hold your dogs vet information, and will take them to their personal vet for minor injuries or to the nearest available vet for major injury. Our pet insurance allows your dog to receive immediate treatment.

Does the weather effect Walkie Doodle Doos?

Come rain, sun or snow our doggies need their walk! Before they come home, your pet will be carefully towel dried should they get wet or muddy.

Can you do walkies outside of normal hours?

Of course! Just give us a shout to discuss.
